Winger Picture
A former member of Alice Cooper's band, bassist Kip Winger formed his own group in 1986; in addition to vocalist/bassist Winger, the group featured lead guitarist Reb Beach, guitarist/keyboardist Paul Taylor, and drummer Rod Morgenstein, formerly of the Dixie Dregs. Taking its name from its leader, Winger specialized in the stylish hard rock that sent Bon Jovi and Poison to the top of the charts. The band's eponymous debut sold over a million copies on the strength of the rocker "Seventeen" and the ballad "Headed for a Heartbreak." Winger's second album, 1990's In the Heart of the Young, was equally successful, selling over a million copies and featuring the hit power-ballad "Miles Away." However, the band didn't outlast the grunge trend and the group faded away after the release of its 1993 album Pull. Kip Winger launched a solo career at the tail end of the '90s. In early 2006, the "Pull" 1993 line-up reunited, along with a fifth member on keyboards.

Rainbow In The Rose Lyrics

Winger

Deep inside
My hunger grows
Got to find
The rainbow in the rose

Somewhere the spirit shines
Like the moonlight
I move on........
Somewhere the spirit shines
But I'm still.....

Chorus:
Searchin' for the rainbow in the rose
(Rainbow in the rose)
If you could lead the way
You know, baby, I will follow
Searchin' for, I'm still lookin' for
The rainbow in the rose

In the howling wind
I first heard the voice
To be free again, it said
Find the rainbow in the rose

Somewhere the spirit shines
Like a holy light
We move on......
Someday it will be mine
But I'm still........

Chorus:
Searching for the rainbow in the rose
(Rainbow in the rose)
If you could lead the way
You know baby I will follow
Searching for, I'm still lookin' through
The window at the

Rainbow in the rose
Owner of my devotion
The deeper my hunger grows
Oh, got to look inside
Got to try to find
The rainbow in the........rose!!!

Solo

Searching for the rainbow in the rose
If you can lead the way,
Baby I will follow
To find the rainbow
I'm just lookin' through the window
At the rainbow in the rose......
